Inspiration is never far. Indeed, it is often right at my side in the ingenious form of a princess, a fairy, a hairdresser, a doctor, or whatever imaginative dress-up character Lilly is portraying. Ballerinas are one of her favorites. She recently wrapped up her first year of ballet lessons, which was topped off with an unforgettable recital. I was standing "stage right" during her performance and loved when she turned to me in the middle of the first dance with the "Look at me, I'm doing it!" grin, nod and thumbs up! So, perhaps watching her perseverance to balance on one leg for an arabesque gave me inspiration and determination to find ballerina laminated cotton. I'm twirling with joy to add this ballerina print in honor of Lilly, my very own special twinkle toes.

Oh, and just wait...next year Lilly is taking both ballet AND tap!
