 Visiting the zoo is a treat we never tire of doing. A hop, skip, and jump from my parents' home is the Metro Richmond Zoo, so on a whim we can swing on by to visit with our favorite animals and enjoy a blue raspberry snow cone (or two!). We've been taking Lilly there since she was a baby. Now, she holds out her own little hands to feed the giraffes, camels, farm animals and deer. It's a kid-friendly zoo -- easily walkable for little legs, and the animals are close enough for children to really see them. I always feel like I'm in someone's backyard when we go. It's quaint, fun, never crowded, and we can all play like kids, make each other giggle with our animal sounds, and remind ourselves how beautiful our world truly is. I love polka dots. They're fun..happy...and always remind me of childhood. My daughter Lilly's wardrobe has polka dots bouncing all over it. I just can't resist a cute polka dot pattern!   ...and #5 is our very own Dine.n.Doodle chalk mat! I am quite honored to have my product included on this short list, especially when games, like Monopoly and Scrabble, are among the items. What sweetens this even more is that in my former corporate life, iVillage.com was my place of work and to think they are now promoting one of my products makes me smile. Pretty cool, huh? Oh boy! It's been months since I last posted on my blog, which just goes to show you how busy life has been. Between my daughter Lilly's preschool & playdate activities (ah the busy life of a nearly 5-year-old) and creating new items for Lil.B.Designs, I'm lucky to get dinner on the table and folded laundry put away. Summer is now here (yay!), which means I have an even better excuse for avoiding housework and the perfect reason for having a yard sale! So, before I pilfer through my garage for hot ticket items to sell, I'll start with my Lil.B.Designs shop. This coming week, Etsy is hosting its 2nd annual "Yart Sale" (Art + Yard Sale = Yart!) and I'm joining the fun because, seriously, who doesn't like a good deal these days.  Wow, it's summertime already. I love this time of year -- family vacations, outside recreation -- more reasons than not to spend time away from the house (less dishes, less cleaning!). So, prepare yourself. Dine.n.Doodles™ are super for picnics, for visits to the park, and for quiet time on the beach...not to mention they make great gifts for summer birthdays!
